Tarot accounts grow faster than almost any other category and convert worse than almost any other category. The reason is the format: pick-a-card posts are entertainment. They are saved, shared and forgotten by people who were never going to book a reading, and the account ends up with a large audience of strangers.

Three kinds of post, in a ratio

1. 1Teaching — a card meaning, a spread explained, what reversals do to a reading. This is what makes you look like a practitioner rather than a page.
2. 2Practice — how you work, session length, what a reading can and cannot answer, who it suits. This is the part almost nobody posts, and it is the part that converts.
3. 3Free readings — pick-a-card, weekly energy, moon posts. Keep them, but as the smallest slice, not the whole feed.

Two teaching posts and one practice post for every free reading is a workable rhythm. Reverse that ratio and you are running a very demanding hobby.

Wording that keeps you safe

Frame readings as reflective, not predictive, and never as medical, legal or financial advice. “A reading gives you a structure for a decision you are already sitting with” is defensible and true. Guaranteed outcomes are not, and platforms restrict advertising built on them.

• Say what a session includes: how long, live or recorded, how many questions, when you deliver it.
• Say who it is not for, out loud — active crisis, medical questions, readings about a third party who has not consented.
• Keep a plain refund and reschedule line in the same place every time.

Make the account look like a practice

A consistent palette does more here than in any other niche, because the whole product is atmosphere. Pick one deep background colour, one metallic accent and one typeface for headlines, and let the cards themselves supply the variety. A grid that switches between neon purple, beige minimalism and stock crystals reads as a page that reposts, not a reader who practises.

Photograph your own deck on your own cloth in daylight. Stock tarot images circulate through hundreds of accounts, and regular readers of the niche recognise them.

The booking path

Free readings should end where paid ones begin: a line saying that a personal reading goes further, and where to get one. Then keep availability visible — how many slots this week, when the next batch opens. Scarcity that is simply true does the work that hype cannot.
