What it does
A workspace for one independent used-car dealer: buy the car, track every cost against it, sell it, and see the real profit — purchase price, transport, repairs, registration and the tax, against what it finally sold for. Eleven screens with one job each: stock, costs, deals, buyers, papers, bidding, reports and jobs. It runs in your browser, keeps working with the internet off once it has loaded, and holds the same dealership on the laptop, the phone and the computer at the unit. An Excel workbook exports whenever you want one — eight sheets with live formulas, not frozen numbers.

Is this the right tool?
For an independent trader with a yard of stock rather than a franchised forecourt: profit per vehicle, days in stock, reconditioning and part-exchanges, bought once. It suits the dealer whose current system is one spreadsheet that has grown fifteen columns. If you need finance applications, DMS integration and a sales team's diaries, buy a forecourt system instead — this is deliberately smaller.
Your first week with it
Put the current stock in first, with real purchase and recon numbers. The first useful moment usually comes about three weeks later, when the days-in-stock column makes the ageing units impossible to keep ignoring, and the second comes at the end of the month, when profit per car shows which kind of vehicle is actually paying you and which one you just enjoy buying.

Per car, not per month. Purchase price, reconditioning, transport and any parts go against the sale, so each vehicle carries its own margin rather than disappearing into a monthly total.
Can I keep working in Excel?
Yes. The tracker comes as the app and as a spreadsheet, so you can run it in the browser and still hand your accountant a file they can open.
Does it show which cars have been sitting too long?
Days in stock is tracked against every vehicle, so the ageing units are visible without you counting back through the paperwork. That number is usually what the next price decision hangs on.
Is it built for a small independent dealer?
It is. One person, a yard of stock and no subscription — rather than a forecourt system with a monthly seat price and features for a sales team you do not have.
Can I record part-exchanges?
Yes, as a vehicle in with its own cost, so the deal that brought it in and the sale that takes it out both keep their real numbers.
