What it does
One Google Sheet that adds itself up. Type what you buy and what you use, and the stock count, the low-stock warnings and the total value work themselves out. Log the colour you apply and it tells you what that head actually cost you in product. Every client's recipe is saved with the shades, the amounts and the developer, searchable — never on a sticky note again. It shows what is going down the sink in grams and in money against a target you set, and anything at or below your minimum lands on a reorder list that writes itself.

Is this the right tool?
For a salon or a chair renter buying their own colour. Stock counts and low-stock warnings, the real product cost of a head of colour, every client's formula searchable, and waste measured in grams and money against a target. It suits somebody who already suspects the colour spend is out of proportion; if you use three shades and never mix a tint, the sheet is more than you need.
Your first week with it
Count the shades you use weekly and set minimums on those first. In the first month the number that stings is waste — mixed against used — and it is usually the same two shades every time. Does it work out what a colour actually cost me?
Log the shades and the grams you mixed and the sheet prices that head from your own stock cost, so a balayage stops being a guess and becomes a number you can price against.
Does it warn me before I run out of a shade?
Anything at or below the minimum you set lands on a reorder list that writes itself, so the order is built from stock levels rather than from a panic on a Saturday morning.
Can I find a client's formula again?
Every client's formula is saved with the shades, the amounts and the developer, and it is searchable — which is the point of it not living on a sticky note in the trolley.
Does it show waste?
Mixed against used shows what went down the sink, in grams and in money, against a target you set. Most salons find the number uncomfortable in the first month and better by the third.
Do I need to count my whole stock room first?
No. Start with the shades you use every week, and add the rest as you touch them. A partial count that stays accurate is worth more than a full count that goes stale.
