Is this the right tool?
For anyone whose card is paying for more services than they can list from memory. Renewal dates, a real monthly total with annual plans spread across the year, and warnings before the trial you meant to cancel turns into a year. It does not connect to your bank, which is the trade: you type what you pay for, and nothing of yours is handed to a third party to read.
Your first week with it
The first sitting is the useful one — go through the card statement once and add everything, including the annual ones people forget. Most people find between two and five things they no longer use. After that it takes about a minute a month, and the renewal warnings do the rest of the work on their own.
Questions about Subscription Tracker
Does it tell me before something renews?
Yes. Every subscription carries its renewal date and warns you ahead of it, which is the whole point — the money is lost on the trial you meant to cancel, not on the service you use.
Does it show what I actually spend a month?
Monthly and yearly plans are normalised to one monthly total, so an annual licence is not invisible for eleven months and then a shock in the twelfth.
Does it connect to my bank?
No, and deliberately. You type what you pay for, so nothing needs your banking credentials and nothing breaks when a bank changes its login.
Can I use it on my phone?
Open it in the browser, then Share and Add to Home Screen. It behaves like an app from then on and the list is the same on the laptop.
Can I track family or business subscriptions separately?
Add them all and label them. The monthly total can be read as a whole or per group, which is how most people separate the household from the work spending.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. You pay once and it is yours. No subscription, no commission on your bookings, and new versions cost nothing.
Do I have to install anything?
No. It opens in the browser you already use, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like any other app — iPhone, Android, iPad, Mac or Windows.
